About the Election

President-Elect

Each year the members of the AIChE vote to select a President-Elect. The individual serves as President-Elect for one year beginning January 1st, then automatically becomes President for one year and serves as Past-President for one year. Information about candidates for President - and for Treasurer - was published in the June edition of CEP magazine.

Treasurer

The TREASURER is elected every third year for a term of three years beginning January 1st following his/her election. (This is the year -2007- to elect a new treasurer.)

Board of Directors

AIChE holds an annual election for the Board of Directors. Board members are elected for three-year terms. In any given year, one-third of the Board will be up for election.

Four directors are elected each year for terms of three years each beginning January 1st following the annual election. Information about candidates for Director was published in the July edition of CEP magazine. There are eight candidates for the four openings this year.

August 20, 2007 - Election Ballot to be Mailed
September 24, 2007 - Ballot Receipt Deadline
September 28, 2007 - Tellers’ Meeting
November 5, 2007 - Election Results Announced at AIChE Annual Business Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah

All AIChE members should receive a ballot in the mail after August 20th that needs to be returned and received by the AIChE by September 24th.

How to Vote On Line

Alternatively, you can vote electronically. On August 20, the electronic proxy web site will go live. At that time, you can cast your electronic proxy at www.cssconsult.com/elections/AIChE2008
